We are a London based carpentry company specialising in handmade & bespoke fitted wardrobes, kitchens and cabinets. We provide our clients with a high-end finish product and transform their spaces and homes.

Here at Thomas Carpentry, we are passionate about design and creating functional and beautiful pieces of furniture.

We are an independent business and pride ourselves on our excellent customer service. Owned and managed by Ben Thomas. We are proud to offer our services across London and Essex.

We know there are a lot of companies out there, so why choose us?… You will be in contact with the people who build and craft your project, one to one, every step of the way. We care about what we do for you and will work closely with you through all stages of your project to ensure that every detail is right. You won’t be met by a salesperson telling you what you want to hear, or waiting on hold to speak to someone to help. We like being small and individual… it’s how we like to do things and part of what we are about.

Being a small, family run business, we have built up some great client relationships over the years, with customers regularly coming back to us for more joinery for their home.

We pride ourselves on being traditional craftsmen and making our joinery from traditional furniture making techniques.

We use a mixture of real wood veneers, premium grate mdf and solid wood for all of our joinery. All our doors are made bespoke and with mortice and tenon joinery. All our cabinetry are made by making a full carcass’s with screw and wooden domino’s. All joinery is quality controlled and is carefully fitted by us. No subcontracted fitters, just fitted by the people who made it.

We have a professional workshop with spray booths where your joinery is made, prepped and sprayed before it arrives at your house to be installed. We offer a high-end spray finish which is durable and beautiful or we can brush on the final coat for a more traditional, hand painted finish.

All our workmanship is guaranteed for a minimum of 10 years so you can have that piece of mind in getting in touch with us about any issues later down the line.

For each project, we will manage from start to finish and work with or source other trades where needed. Once your project is confirmed after quoting, we take a deposit payment to start the design process. We will give you full detailed drawings with various angles and dimensions for you to visualise your project before its made. Our previous customers have always found this a great asset, lets us make any changes, confirm any design details and lets us work to exact dimensions.

To get started…

Send us a description of what you would like, with any plans you may already have drawn up.
Send us approximate size of each space. Width, depth and floor to ceiling height.
Send us a pictures of the space and any reference pictures from our website of what you like or of anything you have seen elsewhere.

Based on the details you provide we should be able to provide you with an initial cost estimate.

If this is then within your budget, we will arrange a meeting to go over design details, show you samples of materials and finishes and measure the spaces to give you a full itemised quote.

We do not do repair work or small jobs – we only do bespoke wardrobes, kitchens and cabinet work with a minimum job value of £4,000 + VAT
